Google Baltics office is located within the historic Sapiegu Park complex in Antakalnis in Vilnius. Designed by the architecture studio Heima, office interior blends Google’s colorful identity with the theme of the Baltic countries' nature elements. This space not only caters to the needs of the Google team but also harmoniously embraces the rich heritage of its unique location. The office is designed with the potential for additional workspaces, emphasizing versatile meeting areas, including six meeting rooms of varying sizes along with three phone booths. Additionally, the design incorporates relaxation and informal work areas, a play zone, and a spacious kitchen that hosts all employees during communal gatherings. The reception area serves as the focal point of the office - the first space encountered upon entering. Main accents - walls that are covered in corrugated metal sheets, the reception desk crafted from a fallen tree, and decorative reeds. These design elements allude to the marshlands, rippling water reflections, and fallen trees typical of the Baltic's wild nature. A graphic composition on the back wall of the reception illustrates key architectural and natural elements from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, symbolizing the unity and friendship of the Baltic countries. Each of the three large meeting rooms has a distinct theme. The biggest one is an interpretation of a historical shed, where traditional architectural elements are reimagined with modern materials. The middle meeting room reflects an old forest, dominated by moss and natural wood colors, creating a serene and organic atmosphere. The smallest of the three, named "Speigas," represents the region's winter. Here, the attention is drawn to the frost-like ceiling and walls painted in gradient colors of a sunny winter sky. In contrast to the bright meeting rooms, the common workspaces are designed to be calmer, with authentic wooden ceilings, brick walls, decorative plants, and subtle Google color elements as the main highlights. Cozy kitchen interior—a space designed to nurture Google's communication culture. Here, another natural wonder of our region is revealed—the dunes of the Curonian Spit and the Baltic Sea landscape. The back wall symbolizes the sun setting behind the dunes into the sea, and the cabinetry resembles paths of wooden planks and ambers washed ashore. An accent light hangs above the kitchen island, crafted from a linden branch that broke during a storm in Vilnius, coinciding with the construction work. As part of Sapiegu Park, Google shares a serene courtyard with the city’s residents. Here, androids adorned in vibrant Baltic colors gracefully blend into the historic surroundings, subtly hinting at the company's presence.
