Home away from home.
The house is located on a hill in front of a lake on one side, and the forest on the other.
The main living space has a high sloped ceiling. It is divided at the top of the windows, using differend wall finishes.
The bottom part of the space is clad in oak wall panels. These wooden walls discreetly integrate storage space, kitchen, doors to other rooms.
The top half is covered in natural clay stucco, creating a warm, somewhat messy effect, hinting at the surrounding nature.
Natural cement flooring helps keep the rooms cool in the summer, while in the winter the heated floors create a warm surface to walk on.
The furniture and details are minimalistic, leaving space for personal expression of the family to appear and be highlighted.
